Our Mission is to touch hearts, ease the minds and change lives of Cancer patients in our community. Our purpose is to continue giving back from the heart to those in need

The AYC Cancer Foundation is a 501(3)(c) non-profit charitable organization that I founded. It is in memory of my late wife, Andrea Yvonne Curry, who passed away from Breast Cancer in 2005. It has been my mission ever since she passed away to give back to the community by assisting cancer patients with their medical bills. I created this foundation with that purpose, since I have first-hand experience of the financial strain that Andrea and I went through at the time.

     Travis L. Curry is the Founder/President/ CEO of the AYC Cancer Foundation, established in 2022. In 1996, he married the woman who is the inspiration for the AYC Cancer Foundation; Andrea Yvonne Curry. Travis and Andrea were in a marriage full of deep, abiding love until her untimely passing from metastatic breast cancer in 2005. He still loves and cherishes her to this day.

     From the time of Andrea’s diagnosis of cancer in 2003, he has been intimately aware of the financial challenges that cancer patients and their families face, including inability to pay medical co-pays and medical bills. Travis knew he wanted the ability to provide this type of financial assistance to cancer patients, all while simultaneously honoring Andrea’s memory. As such, he started anonymously paying medical bills for cancer patients at health clinics in Tennessee. Once he began volunteering to pay medical bills for cancer patients, he had a burning desire to assist cancer patients on a wider scale with their medical bills. With his founding of the AYC Cancer Foundation, he will be able to achieve this heartfelt mission.

     Travis is a native of Jackson, Tennessee, where he was educated in the Jackson City Schools System. He is a 1989 graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School. After graduating from high school, Travis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from 1989-1992. He currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is a proud husband, father and grandfather. During his free time, he enjoys studying his family’s genealogy and spending time with his wife Tiffany and their four dogs.
